Dr. Ronald King
President

Dr. King has been with the Institute for Professional Development (IPD) since 1993 and has served as President since January 2001. Dr. King joined IPD as the Vice President for Educational and Institutional Relations, working with the administrations at client colleges and universities and IPD onsite management to build positive working relationships and to develop joint academic programs. In 1998, he was given added responsibilities as Corporate Vice President, assisting to expand new client contractual relationships.

Prior to his tenure at IPD, Dr. King was the Executive Director of the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Development at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. From 1981 to 1991, he served as the Associate Dean for External Affairs and the Director of the Missouri Institute for Executive Development in the College of Business and Public Administration at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he was responsible for the administration, management, and marketing of three business institutes. While at Missouri, he also served as a leadership and management consultant to many large corporations, including Hallmark, Monsanto, and Anheuser Busch.

Dr. King received an EdD in Administration and Law from the University of Missouri, an EdS and an MBA from Southeast Missouri State University, and a BS from Arkansas State University.
