Dr. Sue Salter Dietrich
Vice President of Academic and Institutional Services
Dr. Sue Salter Dietrich initially joined IPD in 1976 with the University of Redlands partnership. She moved to Phoenix to serve in an administrative and academic role with the University of Phoenix, accumulating 10 years of service with Apollo Group, Inc. She also worked in managerial roles at Pepperdine University, the Arizona State Department of Education, and Danville Area Community College (where she was Dean of Student Services). Sue rejoined the Institute for Professional Development in 1990 in her current role overseeing all activities related to academic affairs, curriculum development, student services, accreditation, institutional research, and instructional technology.
Sue has served in national and state leadership roles in community college administration, admissions and records, and adult higher education, and she has taught graduate education classes at the University of Florida. She has published articles related to articulation with community colleges as well as book reviews for professional journals. Sue
received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in higher education from Nova Southeastern University, building upon work completed for her MA in Education from Arizona State University as well as doctoral course work from the University of Florida. She earned her BS in Business Administration at the University of Redlands while working fulltime for IPD at the time.
